you are doing what most americans do. you are not thinking and not planning, and you are borrowing way too much beyond your means to repay.
time to stop borrowing, sell things to pay off debt (sell the car too you likely can’t afford it), find work now. anything. hubby works 2 or 3 jobs…. do not buy the house… you likely can’t afford that either. when broke people buy houses it’s not a blessing it’s a curse.
time to get on a plan. a budget. live below your means.

What you need to do initially is stop using the cards until things are under control. Make sure you don’t charge anthing else to the cards until you have everything paid off.
What you also might want to do temporarily is stop any unecessary spending: no eating out or exta purchases. You also might want to suspend any non-critical sunscrotions like gym memberships, cable TV, mobile phone plans, etc. That way you can have more take home pay for the credit card debt.

Check out and listen to his radio show. He has lots of great advice on money and debt. It doesn’t cost a dime to listen.

Owing $1,100.00 in CC debt is really nothing in the grand scheme of things but missing a first payment (s) is fairly serious in that now they’ll be able to raise your interest to 29.99% and that is a shame. I don’t know what the penalty will be on the late car payment but it probably won’t be fatal unless the fine print is something you didn’t read and something is written there that may not be very good for you.
I don’t think I need to emphasize the necessity of you getting a job but you’ve got to be willing to do anything until you get your situation under control. I don’t care if you’re skilled at something or not. You must take any job that’s out there for now! Babysit if you have to! Why you thought you’d get your tax refund so quickly I’ll never know but it’s done now! I wish you good luck.

You don’t want to miss payments both because it wrecks your credit and increases your percentage. Look around your house and see what you can sell on ebay or at a garage sale. You can do a mystery box sale on ebay as a lot of people like those. Your debt isn’t that bad actually but now you need to be careful and bring lunches rather than buy etc
